Raises $3,022

The biennial MMUUS Book and CD Sale generated $3,022, a large majority of it from non-MMUUS shoppers. In addition to earning money for the church operating budget, we had a wonderful community experience and contributed to Green Sanctuary by recycling books and media items.

First of all, thanks to the members and friends who donated items for the sale and who shopped at the sale—necessary ingredients for a successful sale. Second, thanks to the many volunteers who helped by sorting items on Wednesday evening and Thursday morning, staffing the sale, and cleaning up on Sunday. It’s always a miracle how all the boxes and bags of donations are organized seemingly so effortless-ly on Wednesday and Thursday. The experienced sorters go right to work and also mentor new volunteers.

All told, over 50 volunteers were involved. Special appreciation goes to the following committee members: Randy Archambault, Pat Corson, Betsy Fuller, Mary Fulton, Roger Hiemstra, Vicky Schipper, Dale Sherman, and Linda Wobus.
