![]() A marble tablet honoring Syracuse abolitionist and MMUUS namesake Samuel J. May was rededicated 12/30 after being installed on the side of our building, overlooking the memorial garden. MMUUS Historian Roger Hiemstra lead the effort to restore the plaque, which had been missing for years before being discovered at the Onondaga Historical Association in June of 2005. The tablet originally graced our former building at 472 James St., Syracuse. Read more about it in this article in Syracuse's Post-Standard.
