We will be having classroom workshops for our children that are focused on learning about our seven principles and our stories in Chapel will focus on our six sources. This is always a fun and interesting time for our program. I have been working on having folk who are not usually leading RE classes to lead the workshops. It is a great opportunity for our children to develop relationships with other adults in our congregation. We will be having several different workshops. Among our workshops is a scavenger hunt focused on the history of May Memorial (thanks to Roger Hiemstra for designing the hunt). Another will be making outdoor bird feeders for our feathered friends and hanging them on some of the trees on our property. Another workshop will be making miniature peace poles as tree decorations. Our empty bowl lunch has been rescheduled to December 9 after service in the social Hall. There will be more details in the next issue of the newsletter. But be sure to mark the date in your calendar. The money raised at the event will benefit our the homeless and hungry work our congregation does. On November 7 I met with the Northeast Regional Subcommittee on Credentialing and was granted candidate status with the UUA. It was a very good experience for me. I am very pleased with the outcome and will now begin the next steps as I work toward fellowship. It is a pretty rigorous process, which is a good thing. And I am very thankful for all of the support that May and its members have given to me. |

As you read this our fall session will be ending. After Thanksgiving we will be starting our Seven Weeks of Unity. This is our mid year part of the Sunday morning RE where we focus on our Unitarian Universalist identity.
